God Wills to Heal

Christ Wills to Heal

Do you long for a healing from Christ but wonder if it is the will of God to heal you? In Isaiah 53 God already expressed His will on the cross, when He covered your sins in His blood, and when He healed your disease by His stripes. It is the will of Jesus to give all healing and forgiveness, not just some, or a selected few. Just as Jesus offers salvation at the cross, He by the same action has offered healing for all. You may wonder about other people, those who may have died from disease, those who prayed and didn’t receive a healing from God. But this is a fleshy distraction, you need to focus on Jesus, the word of God, and the promises already made. Our example to focus on is Jesus Christ, who has already healed us, who died for our sins, who by His stripes we are healed. You are not to make comparisons between you and others who need healings, as Jesus expressed in John 21:22: “Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."   Here Jesus is saying, do not worry about other people, you listen to me. You are to focus on Jesus, not others,  and accept the healing that is yours today to receive. The word of God says it is by faith that it may be by grace. You see, the grace of God heals us, and our faith makes it possible. There are many ways to develop your faith, and here are some to get you started.

  1. Focus on the Word of God, and believe that it is true and literal word of God.
  2. Find healing scriptures and focus on them. You can even write them down on index cards so you can read them on the go, or when you start to doubt the word of God. (It sounds extreme but you are trying to change bring about a new mind frame, a godly mind frame, this takes constant focus).
  3. Keep away from those who are negative or doubt to the truth of Gods word.
  4. Proclaim your healing with your mouth, and praise God for it, no matter how you feel. It cannot be by grace unless you say it shall be so, the saying part is faith put into action, so speak it. Faith speaking is always better than merely faith thinking, because speaking something is a whole other level, its more than just a thought.
  5. Pray to God asking him to help you develope your faith. Ask him to give you new ways to increase your faith.
  6. Surround yourself in God's presence and praise, in God's worship, in God's Word, and fellowship with God's people.
Healing comes by believing, believing in the word of God. Healing does not come by feeling. It cannot be. If healing came by feeling, where would the faith be? Just as salvation cannot come by feeling, nor can healing.

Pray this prayer with me
Jesus I believe your word. I believe when you died on the cross you healed me and forgave all my sins. Now I am accepting what you’ve done, and receiving my healing and forgiveness. Almighty God, help me increase my faith and hunger for you. Help me set aside my own natural thoughts and beliefs, and believe the truth of your word.
